Bengis began his career as a marketer and quickly moved into sales leadership roles. Early in his career, he oversaw the marketing of 150 Pizza Hut locations in the Southeast and engineered a program with hotels throughout the region to significantly boost Pizza Hut distribution for hotel guests and staff. Bengis spent twelve years at PepsiCo in the food service/restaurant division and was responsible for developing and managing franchisee relationships in Pepsi’s major businesses, including Pizza Hut and Arby’s. Immediately prior to joining Scooter’s Coffee, Bengis spent over four years at Argo Tea, an all-natural food and beverage company, focused on retail sales, including Grocery, Natural, Convenience, Drug, Club, College & University, Mass Merch, Military, etc.
Bengis received his B.A. in Communications from State University of New York at Oswego.
